The True Blue Core Awards are administered by the General Education English Department with support of the Peck Fund. Student essays and multimodal work from English 1009, 1010, 1020, 2020 and 2030 in the summer, fall, or spring semester are eligible. The student’s essay must be nominated by the faculty member for whom the essay was written. Winning essays are published in the General Education Magazine (GEM).

For application requirements and the required cover sheet, students must visit the General Education English office (PH 324).

True Blue Core Awards Judging Committee

The True Blue Core Awards Judging Committee will choose winners from the nominees. Course categories will be divided anonymously among the judges. If you would like to serve as a judge on this committee, please contact a Gen Ed Program Assistant or secretary for more information.

GTAs may submit their students’ essays for the True Blue Core Awards.
