Dr. Christopher Weedman is a source of wisdom for all Gen Ed English questions. If he doesn’t know something, he can find someone who does. He is especially excited to talk to you about movies!

Jayrah Trapp joined the Gen Ed team in 2022 and can help with getting textbooks, filling out forms, and countless other administrative tasks. Bags of creative supplies (markers, scissors, glue) are also available in her office.

Kylie Petrovich is a PhD candidate and Graduate Assistant who works with the online OER textbooks, plans meetings, and collaborates with the General Education English team in any other needed capacity. She can help answer questions about the Gen Ed English program, including ENGL 1010, ENGL 1020, and ENGL 2030. Ms. Petrovich specializes in modern American literature, popular culture, and identity theory. She also enjoys creative writing and maintains an avid interest in psychology.

Emiliya Mailyan is a PhD student and Graduate Teaching Assistant who works alongside Kylie on the OERs, planning program trainings and meetings, and anything else needed to help the Gen Ed English Program run successfully. Emiliya is passionate about encouraging creativity in composition courses and talking about the benefits of multimodality. Stop by the office and she’ll gladly share some fun facts about Armenian recipes (she’s a food culture gal).

Regina Nelson is the secretary for the English Department as a whole. She is a deep well of administrative knowledge and can help fill out all sorts of forms and wade through bureaucracy. She is particularly good at helping you figure out how to fill out financial forms for conference travel requests!

Nicole Leonce has jurisdiction over classroom supplies and making sure that offices are clean, painted, furnished, and ready for use by new hires.
Additionally, all of the Administrative Assistants can put announcements on the Peck 3rd hall television screens, give access to carts of various sizes for moving things, and put cancellation signs on classroom doors.
