Program Overview

15 Blended Teaching

Blended-On-ground (also called “Web-Assisted” in English) courses meet in the classroom at least 50% of the scheduled class meeting time, at approved meeting times, and with the remainder online and asynchronous (e.g. no Zoom class meetings).

These courses have an adjusted standard meeting time. For example, a TR 8:00-9:25 am might meet in the classroom on Tuesdays with Thursdays reserved for D2L work, such as a Discussion Board assignment, quiz, or exam. Similarly, a T 6:00-9:00 pm course could meet for half the time, e.g. T 6-7:45 pm, with online work assigned for the other half of the standard meeting time each week. On Pipeline, blended courses are indicated with “B” in the section number, and the day(s)/time listed is when students are expected to be in class.
