Book Information

Book Description

This study guide was developed for students taking AERO 2710 sUAS Remote Pilot Certification or AERO 2715 Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Certification. It can also be used by anyone interested in preparing to take the Unmanned Aircraft General (UAG) knowledge test. This study guide provides content, videos, and interactive study questions for each section/task to help you prepare for the UAG.

This study guide uses the references, learning objectives, and knowledge requirements presented in the FAA-S_ACS-10B  Remote Pilot – Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Airman Certification Standards (ACS). The study guide follows the same structure as the Remote Pilot ACS. Feel free to study the content in the order that will best suit your learning. An issue with FAA documents is the numerous links to other regulations or documents causing the reader to open multiple sources to understand the topic. This study guide is designed to bring all the Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems regulations, references, and study material into one document. It contains videos and sample questions like those on the FAA’s Unmanned Aircraft General (UAG) knowledge test.

This study guide is divided into seven parts, with an appendix offering additional content from the Remote Pilot ACS. Parts I through V are organized in alignment with the Remote Pilot ACS. Part VI, titled “Learner Resources,” includes links to FAA and third-party websites where you can access sample questions similar to those on the UAG knowledge test. Part VII, “Educator Resources,” provides tools to help you create your own Remote Pilot Certification course. These resources include a sample syllabus, presentation slide decks, and reference materials.
