Book Description: Principles of Macroeconomics was developed to support dual enrollment sections of ECON 2410: Principles of Macroeconomics at Middle Tennessee State University. This textbook helps students understand macroeconomic activity measures such as Gross Domestic Product, Unemployment, and Inflation. It discusses the factors that result in growth in the economy and uses data and graphs for students to see the implications of these theories on our economy. The textbook uses economic models to determine equilibrium in an economy and explain what causes fluctuations in economic activity. It also describes fiscal and monetary policy tools and evaluates their relative effectiveness on the USA economy, outlining the Government’s and Federal Reserve Bank’s roles in stabilizing the economy.
