Introduction
Interdisciplinary studies bring multiple disciplines together to create diverse perspectives when answering questions, solving problems, or approaching a topic (Klein & Newell, 1998). This book is intended as a resource in understanding Interdisciplinary Studies as well as how how to apply the concept to research and problem solving.
This book is designed to provide content for the PRST 3995 courses at Middle Tennessee State University. It is divided into six modules, with four to ten sections each, corresponding with the modules in the courses listed above. Assignments beyond reviewing content will be through the online course shell.
This open educational resource (OER) is created on the foundation of other OER authors’ work.
