2 Module I, Week 3: Vergil

Here we meet the famed Roman poet Publius Vergilius Maro (70-21 B.C.E.), or Vergil for short.  He’s an important figure for multiple reasons, among them being his role as the glorifier of the Augustan age. Here’s a link to his bucolics, or pastorals, and another to his signature epic, the Aeneid.
